Position Overview:
As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's dining experience. You will be responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are upheld. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment as well as helping members/guests with there needs as well


Responsibilities:

1. Food Delivery: Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the respective tables in a timely manner, ensuring that all items are accurately presented and promptly served to guests.
2. Coordination: Collaborate closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless communication and efficiency in delivering food orders. Prioritize tasks based on order urgency and customer needs.
3. Quality Control: Conduct visual checks on food items to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery. Alert kitchen staff or management of any discrepancies or issues with food orders.
4. Table Setup: Assist in setting up dining tables with appropriate utensils, condiments, and tableware to prepare for guest seating. Ensure tables are clean and presentable before delivering food orders.
5. Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, addressing any inquiries or requests promptly and professionally. Strive to enhance the overall dining experience by anticipating and fulfilling customer needs.
6. Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and organization in food delivery areas, including food trays, carts, and serving stations. Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow food runners, servers, hosts/hostesses, and other restaurant staff to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional service.

Requirements:

1. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to facilitate smooth food delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in food orders, presentation, and table setup. Ability to identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
3. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing, walking, and carrying trays for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift and transport food trays and equipment as needed.
4. Customer Focus: Dedication to providing excellent customer service and enhancing the dining experience for guests. Friendly demeanor and willingness to assist with guest inquiries or requests.
5. Team Player: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues in a dynamic restaurant environment. Willingness to support teammates and contribute to the overall success of the team.
6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask efficiently in a busy restaurant setting. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
• Basic understanding of restaurant operations and dining etiquette.

Compensation: $10.50 /hour plus tips ++++
