    Description
    Charleston Green LLC is actively searching for a skilled CDL-certified driver to contribute to their construction operations in the Charleston area, specifically supporting projects involving grading, asphalt paving, and hydro-seeding. In this dynamic role, you will assume responsibility for safely and efficiently operating a diverse fleet of trucks, including tri-axel, single-axel, flatbed, and low-boy trucks. Your tasks will encompass, but not be limited to, loading, unloading, hauling, and securing aggregate material, equipment, and other necessary items to and from pits, quarries, job sites, and the laydown yard.

    Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of one year of heavy-haul driving experience. The role demands that the successful candidate diligently clean, maintain, and secure all equipment as directed. Adherence to established policies and procedures is paramount, along with conducting oneself in a courteous and respectful manner. A readiness to go above and beyond to ensure the safe and efficient completion of tasks is essential. Additionally, the position may involve occasional interactions with customers and members of the public. Your commitment to excellence is vital in contributing to the success of our projects.
    Responsibilities:
    • Safely operate a variety of trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and low boys, ensuring the secure transport of materials and equipment to and from job sites.
    • Efficiently load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques.
    • Follow assigned routes and schedules meticulously to guarantee timely deliveries.
    • Conduct thorough pre and post-truck inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
    • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.

    Qualifications:
    • Possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
    • Demonstrate proven experience in truck driving or a related field.
    • The ability to operate heavy equipment, such as loaders, is a plus.
    • Display a strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
    • Maintain an excellent driving record with no recent accidents or violations.
    • Capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physical tasks as required.
    • Exhibit good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
