    Maintenance Technician / Hotel Engineer

    The AC Hotel Gaslamp is looking for hotel maintenance technicians to join our team

    Wage Range
    $21-$24 an hour

    *Actual rate offered will be based upon: Candidate experience
    Actual shifts candidate is available for / offered
    Full-time / Part-time status

    As a hotel maintenance tech, you are an important part of our guest service team; assisting guests with any maintenance issue they may be experiencing in their guest room.

    No prior hotel experience is required. As long as you are a hard worker with a positive attitude, you can be successful in this positon.

    As Hotel Maintenance Technician, you will:

    Take regular action to keep guest room and areas fully operable for guest comfort and safety and the work environment safe for fellow associates.

    This includes working with electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, hotel phone systems, etc.
    Use your wits and technical abilities to solve problems and make repairs effectively and efficiently
    Perform routine facilities and grounds preventive maintenance and upkeep including painting
    Respond courteously to guest requests promptly and resolve matters to the guest's satisfaction
    Complete other tasks as assigned

    Keys to Success - Candidate Requirements
    Experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel, apartment complex, residential living facility, or similar, is preferred.
    Must be able to work various shifts per week
    Must be a team player who works well under pressure
    General knowledge of technical fields, such as carpentry, painting, HVAC, and electrical, is expected
    Excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and the ability to work both in a team and make independent decisions
    Excellent visual observation abilities
    Must be able to lift 70 lbs., stoop, bend, climb ladders, climb stairs, etc.
