- A Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for providing patient care through the procedures of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Additionally, the Registered Professional Nurse recommends, assigns, coordinates, supervises, and assesses patient education and the activities of the auxiliary nursing staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
- The Registered Nurse can offer both direct and indirect patient care.
- Education/Skills
Graduated from a State Board School of Nursing or its equivalent. - Experience
Six (6) months of experience is preferable. - Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Current license or authorization to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
AHA BLS – must be obtained within two (2) weeks of starting employment.
ACLS – must be acquired within eight (8) weeks of starting employment.
Arrhythmia Recognition Course – must be completed within eight (8) weeks of starting employment. -
