    Details:

    • You will supporting the facilitys electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering matters, including electrical safety, HVAC, power quality, fluid/utility systems, power monitoring, critical power reliability issues and structural modifications or additions
    • Perform engineering studies including short circuit, device coordination, equipment sizing, exterior lighting, fault current, arc flash for both medium and low voltage equipment, demolition, installation, upgrades and repairs
    • Level 4 candidates will complete full-system design solutions

    Job Requirements:

    • Thorough experience as a Nuclear Facilities Engineer in one or more of the following: criticality safety analysis, safety basis, system engineer, project engineer or design engineer
    • Nuclear facility engineering work planning and control methods
    • Extensive knowledge of new and existing non-reactor facility electrical engineering systems and calculations, applications of engineering methods, and application of CAD engineering tools to solve operations-based engineering problems
    • Knowledge of engineering work, planning, construction, control methods and project/process engineering/management practices
    • Thorough knowledge and application of industry, regulatory, or national codes and standards including IBC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, IMC, IEBC, ASME, AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7
    • Level 4 candidates must be Expert Level vs having thorough experience/knowledge

    Education and Experience:

    • For Level 3 Candidates: Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university AND 6 years of related work experience. Advanced Engineering or technical degree is highly preferred.
    • For Level 4 Candidates: Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university AND 12 years of related work experience . Advanced Engineering or technical degree is highly preferred.
    • (Both Levels need 1 year non-reactor nuclear experience OR obtain that experience on the job if they not have it upon hire before becoming fully qualified)

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of DOE standards applicable to electrical, mechanical, or structural design implementation
    • Knowledge in Geotechnical Engineering
    • Advanced knowledge in welding designs
    • Current registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and/or Professional Engineering certification

    MUST:

    Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, background check and obtain clearance which normally requires US Citizenship
