    YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Take accountability for the commercial success of the BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA low carbon and safer products portfolio.
    Ensure the development, maintenance, and implementation of the BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA circular project pipeline, including key lighthouse projects.

    Support the implementation of CO2e management services and other sustainability-centered services, including their monetization, in close collaboration with BD Sustainability BES.

    Establish a step4change community (mirrored after EMEA) in BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA responsibility for the central team and functional leadership of the regional step4change initiatives towards success.

    Support regional communities on business needs, ensure information sharing on best practices, success cases, and lessons learned.
    Support sustainability expert communities like the that may exist in our focused industries. (Water, Lubes, Energy Services).
    Foster the development of a business development mentality and related capabilities, e.g., development of potential lead pipelines.
    Ensure close alignment with operative supporting groups with a strong focus on Key Accounts and regional sales communities.
    Support tenders and business opportunities as required.
    Maintain excellent relationships with Product Management, Key Account, and Sales Teams in BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA.

    Drive the development of Brenntag BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA capabilities to execute sustainability-centered business, including the development and execution of trainings, and upkeep and adherence to process standards as defined by ISCC+/REDcert2 standards.

    Develop, improve, and conduct sustainability training for BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA operative functions.

    Ensure compliance with ISCC+/REDcert2 standards and drive the development and implementation of required processes and standards in close collaboration with QSHE departments.

    Key contact for certification bodies and partners.


    Develop and continuously improve the business model and commercial framework for sustainability-centered business in BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA in close collaboration with global business development BES.

    Drive the implementation of CO2e as a new key element in all business transactions.
    Evaluate market requirements and potential for sustainable product and service offerings.

    Evaluate and understand key legal and regulatory requirements and their potential business impact with a strong focus on the requirements of a circular economy and upcoming reporting standards and their monetization potential for Brenntag.

    Utilize and further improve the existing sustainability customer survey to identify market and customer trends, and approval rates for Brenntag's commercial sustainability offers.

    Build strong relationships with key business partners and drive the commercial sustainability development of their respective product portfolios.
    Evaluate business partners regarding their business potential for privileged or exclusive partnerships with Brenntag to strengthen a unique position.
    Strong focus on the evaluation of potential future green champions and innovative newcomers for Brenntag.

    Develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns for key products according to industry and customer requirements including the support for direct and digital customer engagements.

    Understand key industry drivers and trends.

    Take accountability for the execution and implementation of corporate sustainability initiatives.
    Phase out SVHC products by 2025.
    Identify alternatives for SVHC candidates.
    Portfolio steering and classification activities.

    Represent BES BRENNTAG NORTH AMERICA sustainability externally as required, e.g., at fairs and exhibitions like AFPM.


    YOUR PROFILE

    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in relevant field
    Master's Degree preferred


    Experience:
    10+ years in a senior-level role in a matrix organization and/or chemical distribution or manufacturing field experience
    5+ years of' experience in management or senior-level management in a matrix organization
    Experience managing national or multinational companies
    Experience in chemical distribution
