    Description

    About the company and the job title:
    This LPN job role is about utilizing technical skills and knowledge to cater to the needs of patients and their families. As part of the health care team, this position focuses on illness prevention, injury avoidance, wellness maintenance, and ensuring patient comfort. Moreover, it includes providing guidance, education, and gradually taking on leadership roles within the department.

    The LPN job involves delivering and accurately documenting age-specific care to patients as per medical orders and a comprehensive care plan. Responsibilities also encompass safe administration of prescribed medications while identifying any potential incompatibilities or interactions.

    Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
    - LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible Licensure

    Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment:
    - Current LPN Licensure in Virginia
    - AHA BLS Certification or equivalent

    Experience Requirements:
    - Varies based on transitional duty assignment

    Preferred Experience:
    - Previous experience as an LPN in acute care settings or relevant to the area of practice

    Education/Training Requirements:
    - Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing

    Independent actions required:
    - Following documented physician/licensed independent provider orders and practice guidelines while organizing work efficiently

    Additional Position Requirements:
    Age Specific groups served:
    - As relevant to transitional duty assignment

    Physical Requirements:
    - Lifting lbs.

    Other Requirements:
    - Exposure to potentially hazardous and infectious substances

    Activities:
    - Involving prolonged standing, sitting, bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and other tasks

    - Including strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, and logical thinking
