Job Summary:

Performs and/or provides assistance with diagnostic cardiac andneurology studies in accordance with Hospital, departmental, regulatory, and industrystandards. Performs or providesassistance with the following procedures: electrocardiograms (EKGs), ambulatorycardiac monitoring (ZIO), cardiac exercise studies, and electroencephalographs (EEGs). Venipuncture skills are preferred but not required. Flexibility in work hours is required to meetpatient care needs.

Essential Qualifications: CPR certification is required or must be able to obtain when hired. Basic knowledge ofmedical terminology is necessary. Previous patient care and customer service experience are alsorequired. Judgment, analytical skills, and the ability to recognize potential patient issues related to testsperformed must be developed in order to notify primary healthcare providers ofabnormalities. On-the-job training under the supervision of an experiencedclinician is acceptable. The candidate willlearn basic rhythm recognition skills within 6 months of hire. Typing and basic computer skills are necessary.
