Description
The Respiratory Therapist RT I functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care.
The RT I is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served.
The RT I will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience.The RT I is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
QualificationsEducation
Minimum Level of Education Required:
Associate degree
Additional requirements:
§ Type of degree:
Applied Science or Equivalent
§ Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
§ Preferred educational qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Licensure/Certification/Registration
§ Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
§ Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
§ BLS
§ ACLS within 90 days of new hire or based upon course availability
