- Prepare conceptual and technical designs
- Draft performance specifications
- Create detailed plans and drawings using industry-standard drawing/drafting software
- Prepare for, participate in, and lead client meetings, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements
- Act as a project leader or collaborative team member, providing guidance and support to staff members as needed
- Implement creative solutions with expertise and precision
- Research current municipal requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Proficiency in construction drawing/drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, processes, and building codes
- State of Wisconsin Architect license
- Member of American Institute of Architects
- Design-Build experience
- Pre-engineered metal building experience
- Top notch communication skills
- Inquisitive and driven to find solutions to problems
- Able to process and retain complex information
- Drive to understand and meet client objectives
- Ability to design functional, practical, and tasteful projects
- Ability to adapt to a variety of project types and client end-uses

Be the first to lead a new division
Our client is a leading design-build construction firm in NE Wisconsin with a 60-year history. They are looking to add an their first-ever Architect to the team to help them reach new heights and expand in-house business offerings (e.g. engineering, surveying, design-build, etc). The job will work with clients to design and visually create industrial and commercial buildings, expansions, and renovations.
