Education

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program.
• Masters Degree.

Experience / Qualifications

• Holds current licensure in the State of Florida as Nurse Practitioner ARNP/Physician Assistant.
• AHA Certification Requirements Vary by Respective Area
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrates high quality case management abilities and clinical competency from previous experiences in patient care.

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant works in collaboration with physicians and other patient care team members, in an active fast pace practice to deliver a variety of health care services to patients and families.

• Provides direct patient care.
• Performs diverse procedures and prescribes medications under CDC guidelines and medical protocol.
• Provides patient education and counseling.
• Participates in the marketing, evaluation and growth at JMC.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

• These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
