    Overview

    Kimley-Horn's Eden Prairie, Minnesota (MN) office is seeking a Structural Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Solar Structures team.


    Responsibilities

    • Assist with the structural design and engineering aspects of utility-scale solar projects
    • This person will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solar engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure the successful execution of solar projects
    • As a critical member of a fast-growing team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, client interactions and business development

    Qualifications

    • 4 years experience with a civil engineering design firm
    • Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil or Structural Engineering
    • PE License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
    • Experience utilizing software programs for general structural analysis
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
    • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
    • Ability to work independently and as a team
