• Make an Impact As a Perfusionist, you would operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace the patient's cardiopulmonary/circulatory function and ensure the proper management of physiologic functions by monitoring the necessary variables. The Cardiovascular Perfusionist is responsible for the safe set-up and operation of all types of extracorporeal circulation, including long-term ECMO . The Perfusionist should be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Autologous Blood Salvaging, Platlett Gel Therapy, and Point Of Care Testing. He/she should be familiar with all supplies and equipment utilized by the department. He/she should work with perfusion team to maintain all supplies and equipment on an ongoing basis. The Cardiovascular Perfusionist should also serve as a source of information for the other medical departments and continuously try to improve the services of the department.

Shift:

Varied- on call every 10 weeks- position travels to BMH, PMH and Riddle

Experience:

Seeking 2-3 years of experience as a Perfusionist.

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from an accredited institution required.
