Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory therapy students and new graduates. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment.

- Graduate of Registry Level Respiratory Care Program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential NBRC
- Minimum Work Experience
- No previous experience
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- State of Texas licensure in Respiratory Care
- Annual renewal of National Board for Respiratory Care active status for therapists subject to the Continuing Competency Program (CCP)
- Graduate Therapists must obtain CRT credentials and then test for RRT credential and NBRC Credential active status within 1 year of graduation.
If RRT Credential is not obtained, will be placed into Respiratory Care Practitioner job position until RRT credential is obtained.
- BLS - should not initiate patient contact until completed
- ACLS - completed within six (6) months
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Input data into computer programs.
- Maintain work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards.
