    SUMMARY:
    The Environmental Compliance Coordinator is a member of the Environmental Compliance Department.

    This position will serve a core role in the oversight and management of NSU's environmental compliance operations nationwide, related to water, wastewater, and reuse treatment, to ensure NSU operations are consistently maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Responsibilities include oversight of sample collection, development and review of regulatory reports, and assistance in the implementation of new environmental compliance initiatives.

    The ideal candidate should have experience in environmental regulatory program requirements, such as the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Clean Water Act, and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Compliance:
    Provide guidance and support to the company's operations team.

    Work with the NSU team and permittee in the preparation of written response to state agency inspection reports and non-compliance notifications.

    Monitor sampling plans and laboratory reports for compliance against permit limits, report excursions, and develop corrective action plans with the NSU team.

    Interact with the operations staff to ensure completion of regulatory reports and sampling as required by facility permits.

    Assist in the preparation and filing of the following for water and wastewater facilities:
    WWTP discharge monitoring, waste characterization, and residual transfer reports. PWS treatment plant operations, disinfection residuals, and water usage reports. Certified lab renewal applications and PT studies. Community Right to Know (CRTK) inventories and reports. Beneficial Reuse reports. Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) certifications. Industrial Pretreatment Program (IPP) reports. Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) preparation and filings. Backflow Prevention (BFP) reports. NJDEP hotline reports.

    Prepare and maintain compliance with Total Coliform, Water Quality Parameter, and Lead and Copper sampling plans for public water systems.

    Assist in resolving compliance issues throughout the NSU operations team. General office duties, including but not limited to scanning, copying, filing, and publishing compliance documents. Perform other related duties as assigned by the compliance department and management.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the environmental or science field is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in regulatory compliance is preferred but not required.


    Computer skills required:
    Highly proficient with Microsoft Office
