    Primary Responsibilities:



    • Loading articles into washers and dryers
    • Understanding and adding specified amounts of detergent, soap, or other cleaning agents
    • Operating washer and dryer controls
    • Cleaning lint in dryer filters twice a day
    • Transferring all linens already in the washer to the dryer immediately upon completion of the first washing cycle, putting a new load in the washer and performing basic duties upon completion of the first drying cycle
    • Ensuring that all storage & laundry rooms are locked before clocking out
    • Removing laundry from chutes & carts; presorting linens to locate stained or torn items
    • Maintaining count of discarded items
    • Folding & stacking towels, sheets, and other linens
    • Cleaning storeroom & laundry area
    • Processing damaged linen
    • Making sure there are enough linens per floor and stocking each floor
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education/Experience:



    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
    • Previous experience with washer/dryer equipment required
    • Able to work independently
    • Customer service experience
