Job summary
We are seeking a Senior Short-Term Disability Claim Specialist to administer claims within contractual provisions and internal /external guidelines. The ideal candidate will establish a relationship with claimants to understand their perspective on their disability and identify functional capacity. They will also leverage that capacity within the context of the contract to support return to work as appropriate.Key Expectations
- Proactively communicates with the claimant to set expectations, assess medical and non-medical barriers to return to work.
- Partners with the claimant, specialty resources, and more experienced resources to ensure that each claim has a well-understood plan.
