    ($81,780- $116,074) (Grade F, 516 Pts) UTLO Compression Rate $115,240 Responsibilities The Superintendent is responsible for developing and coordinating subway and substitute bus service plans that allow construction and maintenance projects to have access to subway tracks to perform their work. The Superintendent is responsible for designing and preliminarily identifying dates for required service diversions and for developing information on train operations, ridership levels, substitute bus operations, conductor announcements, special signs and special duties of the NYCT operating departments, particularly Stations Operations and Service Delivery in the Department of Subways. The Superintendent ensures that the track access needs of MTA Construction and Development (C&D), NYCT Maintenance of Way (MOW), New York City DOT, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other clients are met while, at the same time, minimizing passenger inconvenience. In addition to planning access for one subdivision of the subway (IRT, BMT or IND), the superintendent will work with all stakeholders to develop, forecast and update Track Access needs for major capital and maintenance projects across all three subway subdivisions for a rolling five-year period. Education and Experience A Baccalaureate degree or a satisfactory equivalent of five (5) years of full-time professional work experience in large rapid transit operations, two (2) years of which must have been in a managerial/ supervisory capacity, Desired Skills Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate in a professional and confidential manner. Knowledge of Subway and Bus lines and routes &to be able to quickly navigate the city using public transportation. Working knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
