    Description

    The **Driver Supervisor** is a key role in the transportation department that focuses on the day-to-day delivery operations in the regional service market. This position plays a crucial part in leading operational efficiency and safety initiatives, supporting the driver community during delivery operations, and delivering exceptional customer service at assigned locations.

    Compensation:

    • Average Annual Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000
    • Bi-weekly payments via direct deposit

    Home Time, Route, & Schedule:

    • Home daily with a typical 5-day work week (Saturdays as necessary)
    • Responsibilities include leading operational efficiency, safety initiatives, and providing exceptional customer service, including handling emergency situations when required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and managerial skills to mentor and motivate employees
    • Ensure driver compliance with regulations and company policies
    • Drive efficiencies and improve performance metrics in the assigned region
    • Investigate accidents and oversee post-accident procedures
    • Recruit, train, and manage employees, plan work schedules, and address employee issues
    • Make recommendations for operational improvements and enhance work processes
    • Communicate daily with drivers on business needs, best practices, and customer service
    • Promote teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
    • Collaborate with other departments for optimal customer relations
    • Complete necessary paperwork and reports
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum age of 21 years old
    • High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
    • Class A CDL & Endorsements (Air Brakes, Doubles/Triples)
    • Thorough knowledge of DOT and FMCSA Regulations
    • Transportation supervision experience preferred
    • Experience in trucking/distribution/logistics
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • No DUI/DWIs in the last 3 years
    • Ability to handle physical requirements of the job
    • Flexibility to work varied schedules
    • Proficiency in English for job-related tasks
    • Pass pre-employment drug screening
    • Location requirement: Live within 60 miles of Detroit, MI, or open to relocation
