- Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, borrowings, etc.
- Review and summarize title commitments and surveys
- Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies
- Familiar with closing platforms, specifically Qualia.
- Prepare and file a variety of documents, including deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc.
- Obtain permits and other documents from agencies
- Prepare and distribute closing binders
- Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the closing process for various commercial real estate transactions
- Must understand real estate law, title reviews, foreclosures, REO's, knowledge of financing, and lending documents, etc
- Ability to work on real estate transactions from the initial contract through the closing
- Work closely with attorneys in preparation for transactions, including coordinating efforts between outside counsel, lenders, borrowers, sellers and other business contacts.
- 3 years of commercial/residential real estate experience
- Bilingual a MUST (English/Spanish)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work product to both attorneys and clients
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
