eBay, Inc. seeks Policy Specialist 5 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties:
Develop significant insights that improve risk controls based on large incidents, near misses, and product and portfolio analyses. Instrument critical metrics, and identify the landscape of critical functions to develop opportunities for improvement. Apply cutting edge risk analytics, insight, and visualization to drive the risk management road-map.

Develop and implement risk policy frameworks to manage credit risk, products and portfolio threats, access policies, fraud prevention, limits and funds availability, and more.

Monitor the performance of risk strategies and proactively seek out opportunities for improvement in policy, operations, and outputs. Partner with risk horizontal teams to deliver scalable global risk management policies through the buyer life-cycle.

Establish relationships with partners in the regional businesses, product owners, engineering, incident management, and risk operations organizations to set shared goals, influence the prioritization, and facilitate the implementation of important risk strategies.

Build behavioral intelligence by exploring creative interpretations of existing and new sources of data, using advanced analytical techniques, and overlaying the appropriate strategies to deliver results.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a policy specialist, or a related occupation.

Base Salary:
$170,000-188,000 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
