Role DescriptionThe Director shall be responsible for overseeing the supports provided to adults with disabilities within the Mental Health and Clinical Services Department who need assistance to lead self-directed lives and contribute to their communities.
The Director shall understand that people requiring support who have one disability, such as mental illness, can also have another disability, such as a substance use disorder, cognitive disability, or a medical condition.
The Director shall approach service provision from a trauma-informed perspective.The Director shall ensure all staff working in OHI's Mental Health Services understand the impact trauma can play in the development of coping mechanisms and take this history into account while providing support.
The Director shall understand the value of employment and/or volunteerism to those supported by OHI and shall work with the Team Coordinator to ensure employment/volunteerism is addressed in the assessment and treatment planning process.

- As health care service providers OHI expects employees to role model health promoting behavior as part of the recovery environment.
- Those employees who use tobacco/nicotine products are prohibited from their use while on work time or while on OHI controlled properties, unless such products are part of a prescribed
- Employees working in locations designated as tobacco/nicotine free zone may not bring tobacco/nicotine products on the grounds of the facilities, unless such products are part of a prescribed cessation treatment program (i.e. Nicorette gum may be used while working if it is prescribed by a doctor or tobacco treatment specialist).
The Director of Mental Health and Clinical Services (Director) shall have a master's degree in a human service-related field and be currently licensed as an LCSW, LCPC or Psychologist.
Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Clinical Supervisor is desired.The Director must have:
At least eight years' combined experience in mental health and clinical services;
At least four years' experience providing clinical supervision
At least six years' experience in administrative supervision and leadership.
The Director shall have experience in fiscal management; budgeting and applying funding, licensing, and accreditation regulations. The Director shall be technologically proficient; have public speaking abilities; and fluent in grammar, spelling, punctuation and writing abilities. The Director shall have excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. The Director shall have knowledge of physical plant maintenance, ADA requirements, and zoning.
The Director shall be medically cleared and fit tested for an N95 respirator and shall maintain required vaccinations and immunizations.
The Director shall be an approved driver for OHI.Competitive Salary and Benefits
