    Purpose of Position

    To coordinate the transition of the department's menu management database to the selected platform, become the main point of contact for the selected menu management program, train end users on the use of the program. Develop residential dining menus, meeting with brokers and food distributors to select new food items.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Menu Management transition
      • Working with the transition team and vendor contacts, coordinate the tasks associated with transitioning the data stored in Food Pro menu management to the selected option per the outline provided by the selected vendor. Tasks to include:
      • Participate in the planning sessions
      • Coordinate the gathering of existing data and submit to the selected vendor
      • Coordinate with existing third party vendors on interface requirements .
      • Coordinate the development of service menus, forecasting and production
      • Coordinate the purchasing processes within the system with selected vendor, third party vendors and UND
      • Coordinate inventory, storage and mobile inventory process
    • Manage the department's menu management software
      • Manage dining service's menu management software
      • Write/develop recipes, ingredients, and menus, establish and monitor food costs and applicable reports.
      • Complete weekly production process, review and distribute reports,
      • Ensure recipes/food items and menus are correctly coded into the system
      • Maintain the nutritional analysis module and complete maintenance processes on the food pro database.
    • Financial management of assigned areas
      • Develop, monitor, and maintain departmental/local/state sanitation/health standards
      • Communicate and train to established standards
      • Review and analyze weekly Food Pro financial reports.
    • Menu development
      • Coordinate with the associate director residential dining and executive chef the development of departmental menus
      • Introduce new items in to the menu mix
      • Evaluate program and menu satisfaction
    Required Competencies

    • Ability to analyze and evaluate information and prioritize work
    • Computer literate
    Minimum Requirements
    • Associates Degree in Dietetics Technician and 3 years directly related experience OR Bachelors Degree in Community Nutrition or similar
    • Experience with nutrition science, dietary guidelines and food allergies
    • Experience with with nutrition programming
    • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Registered licensed dietician, or on track to becoming a registered licensed dietician in the next 18 months
    • NRA Serv Safe Certified
    • Experience menu planning, food costing, and food specifications
    • Experience with computerized menu management software
    • Proficiency in information technology, including systems administration
