    Description

    Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Outpatient

    The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing and treating disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice and swallowing. This position consults with patients, families and caregivers to deliver quality patient-centered care.

    • Evaluates adult patients in outpatient settings for various speech language pathologies including voice disorders swallowings dysphagia cognitive-communication disorders FEES MBS laryngectomy care rehabilitation collaborate teams ensure high-quality patient-centered care support program development referral outreach grow caseload provides skilled clinical services utilizing standard evidence-based practices maintains effective appropriate communication relationships peers patients families internal external stakeholders participates mentoring supervision students new hires promotes mission vision values Intermountain Health abides service standards meets established productivity efficiency standards department or service line participates continuing education opportunities self staff seeking learning opportunities according licensure requirements physical requires employees see read information documents monitors identify equipment supplies assess customer needs frequent interactions providers colleagues customers patients/clients visitors require verbally communicate hear understand spoken information quickly accurately manual dexterity hands fingers manipulate complex delicate equipment precision accuracy driving required current driver's license insured reliable transportation acceptable driving record
