    Job Summary:


    We seek a Human Resources Coordinator to conduct the daily transactions of the Human Resources (HR) department including maintaining the HRIS, processing status changes and benefit enrollments.

    They will also serve as first line responder to inquiries and requests. The primary responsibility is to process data and maintain data integrity within HR-related systems.

    You will work as part of a small, centralized HR department supporting approximately two hundred and fifty employees across a dispersed work environment.

    This role helps ensure the HR department is organized, efficient and works to attract, retain and support our mission-driven workforce.

    Key Responsibilities
    Daily maintenance of HRIS, ATS and other associated systems and online portals.

    Assist with full cycle recruitment in coordination with Senior HR Generalist.

    This includes opening, posting and closing requisitions, scheduling and conducting phone screens, moving candidates through the ATS workflows and following up with candidates and hiring managers as needed to support recruitment efforts.

    Invoice reconciliation for all HR and talent related billing.

    Department credit card and invoice reconciliation and processing for payment.

    Receive, assess, and prepare employee status changes for processing.

    Perform routine data entry, report design and generation and systems updates.

    Personnel file management to include compiling, uploading, and updating personnel records and supporting documentation.

    Serve as first point of contact for routine HR inquiries. Answer employee questions, provide support, resources and information. Extend extraordinary customer service and build relationships that promote employee engagement and support. Respond to routine requests for information and verifications of employment.

    Conduct onboarding and offboarding and other processes across the employee life cycle. This includes partnering with hiring manager, department managers and the HR team to ensure smooth transitions for employees.

    Help administer group health benefit plans and annual open enrollments. Assist with preparation of reports, documents and records required for group health benefits and retirement plans.

    Support in-person training, meetings, and presentations; Participate in planning of both department and agency-wide events.

    Ensure posting of required notices and materials across all organizational locations.

    Assist supervisors with routine wage and hour issues and in tracking attendance and completing time records.

    Prepare departmental reports, correspondence, meeting minutes and presentations.

    Support Health and Safety initiatives including processing Workers Compensation claims.

    Support the Senior HR Generalist and organization with introductory and annual Performance Review process and associated systems.

    Continuous Professional Development:

    Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

    Qualifications and Requirements
    Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

    Minimum one year of professional human resource experience or related experience.

    PHR and/or SHRM-CP professional certification a plus.

    Project Management experience preferred.

    Any experience with HRIS or ATS, UltiPro/UKG strongly preferred.

    Basic knowledge of human resource management principles, local, state, and federal employment laws and regulatory requirements.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 platform

    Strong verbal, written and, interpersonal communication skills.

    A customer service orientation and ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.

    Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.

    Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    A valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are essential job requirements.

    Reporting + Organizational Relationships
    This position will report directly to the Sr. HR Generalist with a dotted line to the Director of Human Resources and has no supervisory responsibilities.

    CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $ $31.00 / hourly.

    This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position is based at the CCH Central Office – Walnut Creek.
    Physical Demands
    Generally minimal physical exertion is required. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional lifting of heavy boxes and presentation materials occurs. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Occasional travel (5-10%) required. Must be able to access and navigate properties and the organization's various offices.
