SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Heart and Vascular Institute has an opportunity available for a Nurse Practitioner to join the team.

This individual will serve as the main APP overseeing day to day operations of the HVOU/Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology (EP) lab for the Interventional and EP divisions of Cardiology.

They will be an active member of the Interventional/EP Team collaborating with the Interventional/EP APP and will provide pre and post procedural care to this patient population.

The APP will serve as the liaison between the Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology and patients/families. Triages messages from the patients of these Attendings, including both procedural and non-procedural issues. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, and educate patients and family members about diagnoses and treatment plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
Current licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
