    Our firm focuses on humanitarian applications, (U Visa & VAWA), waivers, TPS family-based immigration, naturalization & DACA.

    The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced Immigration Associate Attorney with a passion for advocacy for the immigrant community. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing your caseload, supporting the Paralegals and Legal Assistants, and ensuring the smooth operation of our immigration department.

    This is a full time in-person position at our office in Warrenville IL. The schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. And you will be reporting to the CEO and HR Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    • Stay up to date with changes in immigration law and other immigration-related developments and share developments to ensure staff members understand these changes
    • Conduct consultations to determine if clients are eligible for immigration benefits
    • File and prepare appropriate forms, briefs, and appeals for USCIS review, and represent clients in interviews before USCIS when requested
    • Handle your caseload, ensuring timely and accurate completion of immigration forms and documentation
    • Work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity
    • Investigate and evaluate complicated legal issues pertaining to your own caseload and the cases of employees who work under your direction.
    • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    • Communicate with clients, providing updates on case progress and explaining next steps in the immigration process
    • Prepare, organize, and file immigration forms with USCIS, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements
    • Analyze case documents and collect supporting documentation to strengthen immigration applications
    • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the immigration team including regular scheduled team meetings
    • Communicate effectively with various immigration government agencies on behalf of clients

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a law degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of any state bar in the United States.
    • 1-3 years of immigration law experience required
    • 1 - 3 Experience in humanitarian applications, (U Visa, VAWA & T Visas).
    • Experience in using case management software including Camp Legal is a plus
    • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is a must
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong writing, analytical, and legal research skills
    • Ability to work independently, and lead a team
    • Ability to stay organized, manage a high-volume workload, and work under strict deadlines
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.

    Salary

    Starting Salary $80,000 a year
