Job summary
Develops subcontract specifications, work statements and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials equipment and services Prepares bid packages conducts bidders conferences analyzes and evaluates proposals negotiates subcontract provisions selects or recommends subcontractors writes awards and administers resulting subcontracts Negotiates coordinates additions deletions or modifications to subcontracts Participates with contracts administration purchasing to develop subcontract policies procedures Procurement of Airframe detail parts assemblies from engineering drawings build to print in a Material Requirements Planning MRP system Systems Applications Processes SAP system in support of various airframes Source purchase machinery equipment tools raw material packaging materials parts services suplies necessary for operation of an organization Compiles analyzes statistical data to help determine feasibility buying products establish price objectives Compiles information keep informed on price trends manufacturing processes Confers suppliers learns analyze operations determine factors affecting prices determines lowest cost consistent quality reliability ability meet required schedules Reviews proposes negotiates prices recommends suppliers analytics trends follows up orders placed verifies delivery approves payment maintains necessary records May prepare bid packages Work many internal external departments customers Some travel may be required.
