The Position
Reporting to the organizations Senior Director of Financial Accounting and Control, the Revenue Manager is a player/coach, leading a department of three, responsible for quality, timeliness, and integrity of the companys revenue cycle function.
The Revenue Managers responsibilities touch several aspects of the organizations sales cycle; this consummate professional collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and works within the companys accounting systems and CRM.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Managing billing, accounts receivable, and cash applications
Maintaining accounting systems to help the organization mitigate risk, safeguard assets, enhance accuracy of financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
Hiring, managing, educating, and motivating staff to achieve high standards of performance and quality
Implementing, assessing, and improving systems and procedures to continuously improve the companys revenue cycle function
Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure awareness of revenue cycle trends, capabilities, and current status
Monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data
Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Conducting variance analysis
The Successful Candidate
The Revenue Manager is a dynamic professional, a player/coach, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function as a key contributor the organizations revenue cycle.
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Masters degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred
3+ years of hands-on revenue accounting leadership experience in a high accountability environment
CPA preferred
Experience in a private equity sponsored organization preferred, but not required
Prior experience managing onshore and offshore resources preferred
Outstanding leadership skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Proficiency with MS Office applications and common web programs
Exceptional MS Excel skills
Proficiency with QuickBooks and new ERP implementation experience preferred
Experience with Salesforce preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize competing demands
Self-motivated, self-starting personality
Ability to work onsite 3 days per week
Ability to travel as required by the role (minimal)
