    Sunrun is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel / Principal Legal Counsel to support a wide range of corporate, securities, M&A, corporate governance, and ESG activities. The Senior Corporate Counsel / Principal Legal Counsel will be exposed to a variety of legal and business matters.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Assist with the company's earnings releases and SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and Section 16 reporting
    • Prepare board and committee meeting agendas and provide general board and committee support
    • Assist with the Company's ESG governance and ESG reporting initiatives
    • Provide practical, actionable advice and strategic support to executives and employees on a variety of corporate matters
    • Assist in overseeing equity plan administration, trading windows and employee education, including direct oversight of stock administration team
    • Counsel on Nasdaq listing requirements
    • Work collaboratively with the finance, talent, and other cross-functional teams on a variety of matters
    • Assist with capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions and strategic transactions, including by working with cross-functional teams to lead diligence activities, structure and effect transactions, and successfully integrate acquired companies
    • Review press releases and certain other strategic communications
    • Stay up-to-date on legal and regulatory developments, governance trends, general legal issues and best practices, assess impact on the company and recommend changes to Sunrun's programs or policies if advisable

    Qualifications/Skills

    • JD from a with excellent academic credentials and membership in at least one state bar
    • Minimum of 6-8 years' experience as an attorney, with law firm experience required and prior in-house legal experience is a plus
    • Must have significant experience advising on SEC rules, regulations and compliance
    • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to handle multiple matters simultaneously and to prioritize effectively
    • Evaluate issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to develop strong working relationships and to work across functions and teams
    • Excellent written, oral and negotiation communication skills

    Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:

    $227,385.11 to $303,180.15

    Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
