    Job Title: Inpatient Medical Coder

    Facility: TEEMA Group

    Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Hourly Rate: $ $25.00 (Maximum hourly rate)

    Contract Length: 3 Months Temp to Perm

    Location: Onsite (Remote possibility for the right candidate, must be located in Texas)

    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our team for a 3-month contract with the option to extend. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in inpatient medical coding, with a specific focus on day surgery, observation, and injection and infusion procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Reviewing patient medical records to accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes according to ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.

    Ensuring coding compliance with federal regulations and hospital policies.

    Collaborating with healthcare providers and other staff to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.

    Meeting productivity and accuracy standards set by the department.

    Participating in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives as needed.

    Requirements:

    Minimum of three years of inpatient medical coding experience.

    Proficiency in assigning ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes.

    Experience with day surgery, observation, and injection and infusion coding required.

    Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred.

    Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    Must be located in Texas; onsite work preferred.
