    About the Role:

    As an associate at Mound Cotton, you will handle complex coverage and insurance defense matters, litigation, and arbitration. Conduct thorough legal research, draft high-quality legal memoranda and other litigation-related documents, and provide expert legal advice.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented attorney with 5+ years of experience in litigation, arbitration, and/or insurance/reinsurance to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctorate (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school, and excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple cases efficiently, prioritizing tasks and deadlines with a keen eye for detail and superior organizational skills.
    • Participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations, providing strategic guidance and support to clients.
    • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other business documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    Requirements:

    • A Juris Doctorate (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
    • 5+ years of experience in litigation, arbitration, and/or insurance/reinsurance, with a proven track record of success.
    • Admissions to the California state bar is a must.
    • Exceptional legal research, writing, communication, analytical, time management, organizational, and verbal skills.
