    Summary:

    As our Clinical Nurse - Transport you will be responsible for completing patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during inter-hospital transport, including responsibility for assessment and stabilization of transport patients, as well as performance of necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.You will also complete physical assessments with the ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings for the neonate, pediatric, adult, ECMO, successfully assess the at-risk status; commit to Safety policy and process for all patient care and modes of transport.

    Responsibilities:
    * Clinical Responsibilities:
    * Complete physical assessments with the ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings.
    * Successfully assess at-risk status.
    * Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary and appropriate for the care of the patient. Such procedures will include: administration of medications, establishing IV access peripherally, intraosseous, internal/external jugular, and unbilical venous catheter insertion, venipuncture, arterial puncture, tracheal intubation, laryngeal mask airway insertion, cricothyrotomy, needle thoracostomy, assist with chest tube insertion, interpretation of blood gases and lab values, maintain, monitor, and evaluate non-invasive diagnostic equipment, determine need for respiratory assistance and oxygen requirements, and ventilator management, and perform and/or assist in CPR and other emergent procedures.

    How You'll Be Successful:

    WORK EXPERIENCE
    * At least 3 years pediatric experience: NICU/PICU/ED or Transport Required.

    EDUCATION
    * BSN Required.

    LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
    * Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Upon Hire Required.
    * City of Dallas Ambulance Permit (within 24 months of hire) Required.
    * Texas EMT-Basic (within 24 months of hire) Required.
    * Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Upon Hire Required.
    * ATLS/ATCN, TNCC or TPATC 1 1/2 Yrs Required.
    * NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) 180 Days Required.
    * PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) 180 Days Required.
    * ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) 180 Days Required.
    * Advanced Nursing Certification (CCRN, CPEN, C-FRN, C-NPT, CPN,) within 24 months Required.
