    Job Title: Physical Therapist Aide

    Location: New Canaan CT

    Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our licensed physical and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to patients, facilitating their rehabilitation process, and ensuring a positive and supportive environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist physical and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and exercises for patients.
    • Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
    • Help patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
    • Monitor patients during therapy sessions and provide assistance and encouragement as needed.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
    • Document patient progress and report any concerns or observations to the supervising physical therapist.
    • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
    • Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
    • Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed.
    • Basic computer skills for documentation and administrative tasks.
