- Provide comprehensive age appropriate nursing care to medical surgical patients
- Sets up, operates and monitors specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors, pulse ox meters, IVAC and PCA pumps, feeding pumps, defibrillators, etc.
- Administers complex medications via various routes.
- Instruct patient and family members regarding disease process, pre and post-operative care, pre and post diagnostic procedures, equipment and treatment related to care, expected and possible adverse reactions to medication.
- Assist in the development of patient care plans.
