Qualifications
- Background in Electrical Electronic and Power Engineering.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Safety & Environment shipyards Ensure operational requirements and ship configurations are compatible with SQM way of working Manages vendors to whom technical work is outsourced ensuring they meet time budget- safety brand guidelines Create strong link to marine operations ships chief engineers chief electrician ensure final plans designs will meet all operational needs Identify communicate restrictions compromises that may be required due to budget space limitations Oversee support electrical aspects dry-dock preparations planning major projects Provide electrical support supervision advise connection dry-dock revitalization other special projects Develop cost reduction programs for projects Direct coordinate at high level general procedures regulatory classification safety issues between new building offices classification regulatory societies Maintain support project budget forecasting planning alongside Project Manager Technical Manager Review comment appropriate on all project design proposals feasibility studies construction plans needed Audit existing plans prepare detailed report needed As directed visit vessels familiarization projects work being handled Stay current technical research development evaluate new technology fleet Run test programs equipment conjunction ship personnel directed Assist current project managers where needed Act backup projects fall trouble Stay current SQM policy responsible timely correction audit findings In conjunction Technical Manager assist selection installation electrical related class construction requirements safety appliances ensure compliance applicable regulations company safety environmental policies Assist supervision projects onboard Work assigned special projects Responsible execution high risk technical complex projects Management up internal project manager resources Workforce project delivery responsibility workers Drydocking window Responsible health safety occupation well-being workers during long duration field work extensive working hours Responsible leadership level communication collaboration achieve desired output project Develop drive project plan ensure on time completion develop review contracts ensure complete product develop review technical design ensure technical compliance safety construction Manage project budget implement cost savings initiatives needed ensure on budget underbudget execution Present report leadership health status venues
