    Under general direction of the Director of Pharmacy Procurement, the Pharmacy Purchasing Manager will
    directly oversee purchasing operations of an organizationally distinct and complex pharmacy service, on
    behalf of UCSF Health Department of Pharmaceutical Services. evaluation, and discipline, operationalizing the optimization of the pharmaceutical supply chain, managing
    drug shortage and recall procedures, coordinating the unit's activities with other units internal and external
    to the department, and managing the unit's operations to address the needs of the organization as a whole,
    including acute care beds, family practice organization, outpatient clinics, and affiliates. operational duties include management of all purchasing, pricing agreements, inventory, storage and
    distribution activities for the department. compliance, optimization and manufacturer patient assistance programs. system, pharmacy services, and the pharmaceutical supply chain.
