    Description
    Reporting to the Sr. Product Manager, the Product Manager assists Product Managers and will have significant exposure and influence in.

    The incumbent is equipped with relevant experience of managing the product life cycle from product kick-off to optimizing end-of-life situations.

    This exciting position is the basis for future product manager roles and responsibilities.

    Working alongside the Product Managers, and the rest of the marketing organization, the Product Manager is expected to assist with the direction for the product lines and implement the strategy.

    Effective communication and teaming with customers, vendors and internal leaders and associates is essential.

    This role will own the execution to ensure our product lines meet market requirements, drives profitability and is a competitive advantage.


    Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
    Leads execution of zero-to-two-year strategy by defining and refining specifications for engineering
    Helps to drive revenue and profitability of custom products (engineered to ordered)
    Pricing analysis for custom products, project pricing, and overall product margins
    Assists in driving revenue, profitability, end-to-end product life cycle management
    Assists with PLCM (Product Life Cycle Management) of the assigned product category or channel
    Supports channel management through direct contact with sales team and development of required collateral
    Perform 80-20 product analysis an implement actions such as pricing, terms, EOL, etc., to improve portfolio revenues & profitability by quartile
    Uses appropriate analytical tools to substantiate any opportunities with facts and data.

    Refines market-driven specification document for new products and drives a multi-level, cross functional team to meet key timelines and metrics for new product development and commercialization.

    Leads a multi-level, cross-functional team to achieve a best-cost position to meet the sustainable differentiation value proposition for the product category.

    Recommends life cycle expectancy of the products and maximizes the profits for the planned end-of-life (EOL) products as part of the multigenerational road map.

    People Management & Employee Development
    Improve performance through implementing new tools and processes
    Ensure consistency in personnel policy administration across the departments and sites
    Knowledge, Skills & Experiences
    The ideal candidate for the Product Owner position will have the following educational background and experience:
    Education/Certifications
    Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
    Technical background
    Analytical skills
    MBA is desirable
    Experience
    Minimum of five to eight years in a product management or program management with extensive customer interface experience or business development
    Experience leading a technical product line with integrated manufacturing
    Experience with variable frequency drives or electrical power is a plus
    Experience with B2B distribution is a plus
    Qualifications & Attributes
    Demonstrated ability to translate macro trends, user needs, and channel trends to an actionable strategy.
    Strong financial / analytical / business acumen to develop strategic plans using facts and data.
    Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, aspire, and energize co-workers at all levels of the organization.
