LOCATION: Murfreesboro, TN

STATUS: Full Time, Hourly

PROGRAM: Murfreesboro Developmental Disabilities Services

REPORTS TO: Home Manager

JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS:

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing care, training, and assistance in various aspects of daily living, self-care, leisure/recreation, and vocational activities. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent skills, along with proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Monitor consumers' comfort and safety, ensuring their medical, nutritional, and personal care needs are met.

2. Interact with consumers in a supportive and therapeutic manner, reinforcing positive behaviors.

3. Provide transportation and support consumers in community integration by accompanying them to social and recreational activities.

4. Perform housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and laundry tasks.

5. Maintain a clean environment through regular cleaning and maintenance activities.

6. Engage in ongoing training programs and attend mandatory staff meetings.

7. Fulfill all assigned duties as per supervisor's instructions.
