    Job Title: Weekend Nursing Supervisor

    We are seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our community dedicated to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Weekend Nursing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of resident care that meets or exceeds Buckner's standards.

    Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform timely and accurate resident assessments, utilizing assessment tools, and report results to supervisors and chart in resident records.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with resident health care plans, administer prescribed medications, and participate in physician visits to residents, recording visits in charts.
    • Provide oversight of medication management, ensuring MARs are correct and residents receive medications timely and accurately, working with consultant pharmacists as needed to maintain compliance.
    • Makes daily rounds to observe delivery of services, resident status, meal service, and quality of care provided to residents, engaging in conversations with staff to share successes and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure current proficiency in local, state, and federal licensing requirements, meeting regularly with managers to review resident care and maintain resident medical records in accordance with state regulations.
    • Assist leadership in strategic planning and direction for nursing services operations, evaluating results, identifying opportunities for improvement, and measuring performance against objectives.
    • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, perform in-house testing procedures, take and record vital signs, and assist in maintaining current healthcare plans according to scheduled rotations and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.
    • Supervise nursing staff and aides in their duties, monitoring work, providing feedback and redirection as needed, assigning tasks, participating in performance reviews, and setting staff goals daily.
    • Provide support and care in Assisted Living and Memory Care as needed, processing new admissions, blood sugar administration, and narcotics administration, promoting healthy relationships with families through timely and accurate communication.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field, with a valid Texas RN license and previous experience in long-term care.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently, communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and associates, and possess basic computer skills.
    • Proficient ability to recognize differences in sounds, exercise independent judgment, demonstrate initiative, patience, tact, and confidentiality, and analyze and evaluate objectively.
    • One-year related experience in long-term care, with a minimum of one year of experience as a nurse supervisor or similar role.
