    RN Registered Nurse Bariatric Unit

    Bariatric Unit

    • Schedule: Nights 6:45pm - 7:15am
    • Hospital: Our 19-bed interdisciplinary unit on the 3rd floor is a highly specialized and patient-focused environment that offers a unique and rewarding experience for nurses. This unit follows evidence-based practices in bariatric (i.e., and gastrointestinal surgeries and disease management. Here, nurses will build a foundation and master critical thinking skills and decision making, discharging, and admitting patients, implementing nursing interventions, and providing personalized high quality standardized patient care. This unit is collaborative and supportive; we have a designated resource nurse that assists across the 3rd floor with admitting and discharging these patients.

    • Travel, PRN, Short-Term Option, etc.). Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
    • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
    • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
    • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
    • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
    Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
