Job summary
Utilizing leadership advocacy and collaboration school speech pathologists provides prevention assessment and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language speech voice and fluency These services are designed to help children meet their educational goals.Responsibilities
- The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for screening any child that may be suspected of a Speech and Language problem.
- The Speech/Language Pathologist provides consultation to the staff as it may relate to a specific problem area she/he is used as a resource for incorporating speech and language goals into the school or classroom curriculum for the success of the student.
- The Speech/Language Pathologist delivers services to those students that are identified as speech/language impaired.
- The Speech/Language Pathologist conducts all evaluations that determine the need for speech/language interview.
- The Speech/Language Pathologist serves on student intervention team/Individualized Education Program (IEP) team as appropriate.
