Under general supervision, the Senior SystemsEngineer is responsible for development, maintenance, and production support of all cloud technology and on premises date center environments. This position is also responsible for implementing new toolsets to achieve readiness. Desired business outcomes include stable, accurate, efficient environments to support leadership decision making with regards to business implementations and migrations.

This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Implement new systems to support core business applications by obtaining requirements and translating to detailed infrastructure designs.
Work with Network Engineers, Application Developers, Storage Engineers and Database Administrators to design and maintain proper network configurations for systems and applications.
Partner with software architecture organization to evaluate and deploy technologies that best meet the needs of the business.
Thoroughly document new system deployments and changes to existing systems.
Perform daily management and administration of AWS environment.
Conduct capacity planning and performance testing/tuning.

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related field or equivalent year-for-year related work experience required
At least 4 years of server infrastructure experience
Must be available for occasional after hours and weekend work.
Must be available for on-call rotation with the ability to respond to the needs of a 24x7 environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

Functional knowledge on related technical skill sets and technologies including but not limited to AWS, Windows Server, Networking, Scripting and Automation, Networking, Security/Firewalls
Expertise in scripting, configuration management, IT automation, and cloud technologies
Proficient knowledge object oriented design and development
Proficient knowledge of effective problem solving and identifying innovative solutions, including new products
Proficient analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate existing or proposed new solutions for potential flaws or improvement opportunities - including alignment to departmental goals and standards
Proficient knowledge of standard project management practices
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with diverse organizational audiences of varied levels of responsibility and technical acumen
Ability to understand and apply a broad spectrum of software implementation methodology concepts
Ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals
Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
Knowledge and ability to work with Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, DFS, TCP/IP, Clustering, PKI)
Demonstrated ability with handling complex and demanding situations
Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken and written English Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
Working ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
