    Lead Sitework Estimator/Project Manager

    We are seeking an experienced professional to take ownership of a growing division within our company. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sitework/civil construction, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the drive to grow the business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Estimating and Bidding: Estimate and bid sitework projects including grading, excavation, utilities, paving, and stormwater systems.
    • Scope Development: Develop detailed scopes of work, quantities, and cost breakdowns using takeoffs, drawings, and specifications.
    • Subcontractor Management: Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and accurate bids.
    • Project Budgeting: Create and manage project budgets and schedules to keep jobs on track and profitable.
    • Preconstruction Meetings: Lead preconstruction meetings and coordinate with field staff and subs to ensure clarity and alignment.
    • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
    • RFI and Change Order Management: Manage RFIs, change orders, and subcontract agreements with full understanding of contract terms and cost impact.
    • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify work completed, and resolve field issues proactively.
    • Mentorship: Mentor and develop junior staff or field crews as the division grows.
    • Performance Reporting: Track project performance and financials and prepare reports for leadership and ownership.

    Requirements:

    • Experience: 5+ years of estimating experience, with at least 10 years in a combined Estimator/Project Manager role.
    • Background: Strong background in sitework/civil construction — must-have.
    • Attitude: Self-starter attitude with the drive to own and grow the division.
    • Skillset: Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
