    The BAAS Resource Manager works closely with all levels of the BAAS department to ensure engagements are appropriately assigned to personnel with appropriate skill sets to efficiently meet internal and external deadlines. This role also monitors individual progress towards billable hour goals to identify gaps in scheduling and proactively reallocate workload.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Understand individual skill sets, experience, and career goals for staff members to ensure optimal client assignments alignments; ensure skills and interests are updated regularly as required
    • Maintain "information library" for all department clients, including deadlines, source of deadline, typical time to finish, typical resource requirements, industry specific or other technical accounting requirements, and past teammates
    • Collaborate with BAAS scheduling committee and BAAS managers and partners to complete long-range scheduling of all engagements
    • React to real-time changes (delays in preparedness or early-provided support) and adjust schedule accordingly
    • Remain up-to-date on teammate progress towards billable goals and overall availability of resources
    • Manage BAAS department projects and staffing needs by identifying solutions as well as anticipating potential conflicts
    • Utilize tools to forecast hours, track and communicate utilization, and monitor overall headcount, chargeable hours, and overtime to ensure work is distributed
    • Assist staff members with identifying causes of individual gaps in workload and productivity
    • Reallocate workload to adjust for staffing changes, last-minute PTO or other necessary adjustments
    • Oversee outsourcing and technology centered "pool" workflow
    • Assist with onboarding new teammates, assessing skills, and identifying projects to assign
    • Schedule new clients based on input from engagement partner and manager
    • Generate ideas and propose alternative solutions
    • Collaborate across departments
    • Stay up to date on current and anticipated needs for resources and devise a plan to address.
    • Work with Recruiting Committee to ensure identified needs are appropriately understood and prioritized
    • Participate in workflow and process improvements based on the practical knowledge of current process
    • Modify, design and implement resource allocation process to maximize productivity and efficiency

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Knowledge of:

    • The use of computers, computer applications, accounting and tax software programs
    • General business processes, risks and internal controls

    Skilled in:

    • Maintaining strong relationships in person and virtually with stakeholders regarding teammates availability to ensure high utilization
    • Data analysis and attention to detail
    • All aspects of time and project management
    • Evaluating the costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
    • Managing one's own time and the time of others

    • Communicate and present effectively and efficiently, in person, in groups, virtually or electronically
    • Multi-task and manage competing priorities
    • Remain confidential and practice discretion with the information gathered

    • Process and analyze large amounts of data from multiple applications to form general rules or conclusions

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
