    Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) is recruiting for an IT Manager within Acquisition and Divestiture Data Management.

    Primary Location: New Brunswick, NJ, may consider Remote work.

    The position is responsible for planning and implementing the organizational data management strategy, data execution activities and governance across the portfolio of A&D deals with the goal of improving efficiency and reducing the risks and liability for data migration, preservation and archival.

    As an Acquisition and Divestiture Data Manager, the incumbent will lead the execution of data migration and archival tasks of the Data Management Program. They will need to partner with key functional and business teams to determine scope, identify and manage multi-functional interdependencies, define requirements, and coordinate the execution of data management activities. The candidate will require the development of a deep understanding of the J&J organization, strong execution and delivery skills, and a bias toward problem solving and resolution. The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the integration of diverse data landscapes, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall success of the A&D IT strategy. The candidate will require strong execution and delivery skills, ability to influence without authority, handle ambiguity, and build partnerships through collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Data Management: Complete data lifecycle management activities, from identification, dispositioning and mapping to secure data disposal, archiving, ensuring data integrity, availability, and confidentiality across deals. Support and enhance a repeatable approach for the governance and execution of the data management lifecycle on A&D deals.
    • Resource Management: Lead staff of resources which may include service providers, vendors, and contractors towards overall data management project objectives.
    • Data Traceability: Implement and drive traceability frameworks to support A&D deals in partnership with legal, privacy and records retention departments to track data flows, transformations, and lineage during acquisitions and divestitures.
    • Data Mapping and Classification: Partner with the end user Technology Services team to implement unstructured data migrations. Identify, classify, and document data assets, including PII, confidential business data, and regulatory data.
    • Legal @context and Compliance: Work with legal teams to understand and address the legal context of data assets involved in a deal and ensure compliance with deal terms, data privacy regulations and other applicable laws.
    • Exception Handling: Identify and manage exceptions in data transfer and compliance and develop appropriate strategies and solutions.
    • Data Migration: Plan and implement data migration strategies for structured applications on A&D deals to ensure data consistency and accuracy leading data mapping, documentations, verifications to buyers/sellers as part of deal execution.
    • Vendor Management: Be responsible for third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure data security and compliance during data disposition activities.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data assets, disposition activities, resource allocation, and compliance measures. Generate reports and updates for partners as needed. Provide awareness of program status to IT and business leadership; provide updates to partners as appropriate.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential data-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry standard processes and emerging technologies to continually enhance data traceability and management processes. Help standardize the tools, processes, playbook and methodologies supporting A&D. Implement lessons learned from deals and incorporate into our A&D Playbook all of the processes for future improvements.
    • Application Lifecycle: Partners with TS Application Services and service owners supporting the execution of application decommissioning and archival processes.
    • Data Security: Ensure data management activities are done in accordance with J&J security and access policies.
    • Innovation: Drive innovation within the organization, using advanced technologies to optimize data processes and support the evolving needs of A&D initiatives.
    • Agile Organization: The ADSL team operates within an Agile framework where roles and responsibilities may dynamically shift to adapt to the unexpected nature of our portfolio. As such, while the main focus of this role is Data Management within Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D), candidates should be open to potentially taking on other A&D roles over time to support the overall success of our initiatives.
