    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining various civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of infrastructure and make a positive impact on the community.

    Responsibilities

    + Performing civil engineering work in water, wastewater treatment, stormwater, and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure

    + Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation

    + Hydraulic calculations and/or modeling

    + Permitting and alternative analysis

    + Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work

    + Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables

    + Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction

    + Provide engineering services during construction

    + Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance

    Qualifications

    + Bachelors degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field

    + Registration as an Engineer-in-Training

    + 4-8 years of directly-relevant experience in civil/site development

    + Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop engineering drawings

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems

    + Ability to develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)

    + Experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects

    + Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

    + Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Registration as a Professional Engineer

    + Experience with Geographical Information System (GIS) and/or hydraulic modeling software a plus
