    $1860-$2000

    Pulmonary Function Technologist Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years of experience in pulmonary function testing or as a respiratory therapist

    Active Maryland or Compact Respiratory Care Practitioner License required

    Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required

    BLS certification (AHA only) required

    ACLS, PALS, CPFT, or RPFT certifications preferred

    Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred

    Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

    Two professional references from recent employers (including one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)

    Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

    Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

    Key Responsibilities – Respiratory Therapy

    Perform comprehensive pulmonary function tests:
    spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion, and exercise testing

    Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and provide clinical support for cardio-pulmonary diagnoses

    Operate Vyntus/Jaeger pulmonary function testing equipment

    Deliver respiratory care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

    Conduct special procedures:
    HAST studies, cold air challenge, shunt studies, bronchial provocation, and stress testing

    Collect sputum samples, perform arterial punctures, and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory services and rapid response

    Document accurately using the Epic charting system

    Float to other hospital units within scope of practice as required
