- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
- Offer best practice advice and recommendations towards overall network architecture and strategy
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the New Haven Datacenter
- Divisional SME that provides LAN, WAN, WLAN support to Divisional IT Admins
- Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
- Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arrange scheduled upgrades
- Investigate faults in the network
- Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Report network status to key stakeholders
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, computer systems, or related field
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience supporting and architecting large scale enterprise IT network solutions for internal and outward facing applications
- CCNP/CCNA or equivalent certification in similar technology stack preferred
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to design and implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks within Global standards and practices
- Proven experience installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN/LAN protocols, and Wireless technologies
- Experience maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Experience managing vendors and procuring network equipment
- Exposure and understanding of SD-WAN
- Strong communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions
- A self-start able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment
- Dependable and flexible when necessary
