    Staff Accountant (Spanish)

    This is a hybrid (40% remote and 60% onsite) role in San Francisco, CA.

    About the job:

    Odoo is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the growing Finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various activities related to Odoo's accounting cycles, including timeliness and accuracy of accounting records, completing various reconciliations, creating reports, coordinating with external tax firms, performing financial analysis, and preparing financial statements. This individual will collaborate with other team members and report to the Head of Finance.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial Transaction Management:

    • Monitor and manage employee regular hours and leaves in ADP
    • Run payroll and workforce-related reports
    • Employee Expense approvals and review
    • Administer updates for employee pay changes
    • Track and Maintain general payroll adjustments
    • Manage customer sales orders, invoices, and payment reconciliation
    • Onboard new vendors, process their invoices and manage payment batches
    • Audit marketing contracts and facilitate payment approvals
    • Foster communication and relationships with vendors and employees

    Accounting and Reporting:

    • Handle month-end closing for accounts receivable, including payment reconciliation
    • Contribute to designing and implementing company policies, including best practices in accounting processes
    • Monitor and report ERP system issues and provide feedback to the internal ERP team

    Tax Compliance and Reporting:

    • Assist with taxes, payroll support, preparation of month-end closing entries
    • Collaborate on monthly and quarterly closing, review and create closing journal entries
    • Conduct monthly flux analysis and assist with tax account reconciliations
    • Support annual audit, tax preparation, and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
    • Research tax laws and ensure compliance with local tax filing and reporting requirements

    Process Improvement and Ad-hoc Support:

    • Identify and suggest improvements and provide ad-hoc analysis and project support

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Vlookup, Pivot table, IF formulas)
    • Spanish fluency

    Nice to Have:

    • 1+ years experience related to accounting or auditing or a related field
    • 1+ years of accounting software experience such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP
    • Prior experience in corporate tax accounting, tax auditing, or a related field

    The salary range for this role is $70,000-$120,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
